Current Corona Situation Around the World

Since 31 December 2019 and as of 09 November 2020, 50 414 235 cases of COVID-19 (in accordance with the applied case definitions and testing strategies in the affected countries) have been reported, including 1 255 831 deaths.

Cases have been reported from:

Africa: 1 883 559 cases; the five countries reporting most cases are South Africa (737 278), Morocco (256 781), Egypt (109 201), Ethiopia (99 675) and Tunisia (71 119).

Asia: 14 245 670 cases; the five countries reporting most cases are India (8 553 657), Iran (682 486), Iraq (498 549), Indonesia (437 716) and Bangladesh (420 238).

America: 21 880 336 cases; the five countries reporting most cases are United States (9 971 651), Brazil (5 590 025), Argentina (1 242 169), Colombia (1 143 887) and Mexico (967 825).

Europe: 12 358 683 cases; the five countries reporting most cases are France (1 787 324), Russia (1 774 334), Spain (1 328 832), United Kingdom (1 192 013) and Italy (935 104).

Oceania: 45 291 cases; the five countries reporting most cases are Australia (27 658), French Polynesia (9 995), Guam (5 233), New Zealand (1 630) and Papua New Guinea (597).

Other: 696 cases have been reported from an international conveyance in Japan.

America: 660 427 deaths; the five countries reporting most deaths are United States (237 572), Brazil (161 106), Mexico (95 027), Peru (34 879) and Argentina (33 560).
